SCC is a biannual conference and organized by the Information Technology Society (ITG) of the Association for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies (VDE). The conference aims at bridging the gap between theory and applications as well as different communities working on communications.
The 14th SCC will take place in Karlsruhe, Germany, from March 10th to 13th, 2025.
We encourage contributions from both academia and industry presenting original work in various fields of communications like:
Topics of interest include but are not limited to
The conference will feature a complementary 4-hour tutorial on March 10th by Prof. Robert Schober on Synthetic Molecular Communications. Details can be found in the Program section of this paper
We encourage contributions from both academia and industry presenting existing and/or early results, included results already published in journals or previous conferences.
We especially encourage students and junior researchers to participate. There will be no published proceedings. Extended abstracts (1 page maximum, double column, IEEE style file) for the poster session should be submitted via EDAS (link available soon here).
Note that presenting a poster does not require a full author registration; students (incl. PhD candidates) can still benefit from discounted registration fees.
The poster abstract submission system is open: Register and submit your poster abstract here.
The workshop both compromises oral and poster presentations. All papers are peer-reviewed and the proceedings will be published on IEEE Xplore. Camera-ready versions of full-length papers can be up to 6 pages long.
Prospective authors are invited to submit full-length, six-page papers, including figures and references, in English and A4 paper format for peer review.
The paper submission system is closed.
Prospective authors are invited to submit high-quality original technical papers (max 6 pages, 10-point font size) for presentation at the conference and publication. Accepted and presented papers will be published in the SCC 2025 Proceedings and submitted to IEEE Xplore.
We reserve the right to exclude a paper from distribution after the conference (including its removal from IEEE Xplore) if the paper is not presented at the conference.
Papers are reviewed on the basis that they do not contain plagiarized material and have not been submitted to any other conference at the same time (double submission). These matters are taken very seriously and we will take action against any author who engages in either practice. Follow these links to learn more:
To be published in the SCC 2025 proceedings and to be eligible for publication in IEEE Xplore, an author of an accepted paper is required to register for the conference at the full rate and the paper must be presented by an author of that paper at the conference. Exceptions may be granted by the General Chairs prior to the event.
All papers should be submitted using the standard IEEE conference templates. The page length for regular paper submissions is six (6) printed pages in 10 point font and papers must be written in English. It is the authors’ responsibility to ensure that the author list, the paper title, and the abstract of the submitted pdf file matches the information entered on the submission system registration page exactly. Please be aware that the author list cannot be changed in the final manuscript.
